Shelton, Conn. – Feb. 14, 2014Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems announces its H-MOSS®|MAXX™ extra-duty energy-saving controls for harsh environments.

Most energy management controls are designed for indoor, clean, and environmentally controlled areas. Parking, food processing and storage, wastewater treatment, outdoor lighting, pool, and marine applications all present opportunities for energy savings, but often can’t use traditional energy management controls to reduce usage.

To address this need, Hubbell created H-MOSS®|MAXX™ to provide an energy-saving product line for harsh and demanding environments.

The H-MOSS®|MAXX™ line includes:

  • AHP1600WRP wall-mount occupancy sensor, UL rated for IP66/NEMA 4X environmental protection
  • Previously launched line of IP65 watertight high-bay fixture-mount sensors
  • AHP1500CRP ceiling-mount sensor with optional ACIPE – IP66/NEMA 4X enclosure
  • CU300HD extra-duty control unit rated for full 20A circuit control

These rugged energy management controls are designed to survive a wide range of hostile conditions, providing an operating temperature range of -40 degrees F. to 140 degrees F.

The flagship AHP1600WRP occupancy sensor features integrated lens guards to protect against accidental damage, and is constructed from chemical-resistant Valox. It can handle direct wash-downs, sprays, and exposure to the elements. H-MOSS®|MAXX™ brings new energy-saving options to wet, cold, hot, or outdoor applications.
