Shelton, Conn. – Feb. 12, 2014 – Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems is now offering its new Count Down Digital Timers for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
Used as a cost-effective alternative to sensors or building controls, Hubbell’s Count Down Digital Timers are individual switch timers that target point-of-use to allow users to control both space and load. With a simple on/off option, these preset timers operate based on a pre-established schedule.
The Count Down Digital Timers offer building owners and occupants one more way to economically control energy usage without requiring a large retrofit project. The timers are available in three configurations: 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and 12 hours.
The 30-minute timers work well in spaces that are used for a few minutes at a time sporadically throughout the day, such as closets, storage areas, copy rooms, restrooms, maintenance zones, hallways, etc.
The 60-minute timers can be used to manage equipment such as pumps, fountains, fans, and HVAC systems.
The 12-hour Count Down Digital Timer works well in applications where more “on” time is required, such as to control exterior lighting or HVAC equipment. Because lighting is typically left on during business hours, as well as after business hours for safety reasons, these timers offer a low-cost option for exterior security lighting.
Time indicators are clearly marked along the side of the timer’s easy-to-press buttons. The timers offer 8.3 amps (1000 watts) of control for incandescent, inductive, and resistive loads, such as CFL and LED lighting, fans, and motors. Hubbell’s Count Down Digital Timers can be used on either 120V or 277V circuits.
Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems’ Count Down Digital Timers are innovatively designed to maximize energy efficiency and reduce costs.
