Hubbell Safety eTour Offers Virtual Exploration of Industrial Setting
Monday, May 06, 2013

Shelton, Conn. – May 6, 2013 Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems announces the launch of its new Safety eTour. This interactive, virtual tour of a modern industrial facility takes users through shipping, plating, molding, assembly, manual assembly, and maintenance spaces on a manufacturing floor. As users explore the setting at their own pace, the Safety eTour demonstrates where and how Hubbell products can be deployed to offer safety solutions in these six industrial areas.

These safety solutions include GFCI, lock-out/tag-out, wire management, locking, watertight devices, cable protection, and arc flash protection.

When virtually touring the manufacturing floor, users can select product tabs displayed on the screen to bring up more information describing the Hubbell product. Code requirements similar to those listed in the Hubbell Safety Application Guide and Safety Evaluation Brochure are also referenced. A Hubbell eCatalog link is provided as well, where specification and ordering information can be found.

“The Safety eTour is yet another sales tool that supports the HubbellSafe initiative,” says John Carroll, vice president of distributor marketing and communications for Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems. “This new tool very nicely complements our popular Safety Application Guide and Safety Evaluation Brochure. It graphically depicts how and where our products are installed, and the safety solutions they provide.”

The Safety eTour can be found on the Safety Solutions page of Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems’ website (www.hubbell-wiring.com/safety.aspx). It can be easily accessed from any desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
