Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems Introduces Wire Mesh Basket Tray
Wednesday, December 26, 2012

Shelton, Conn. – Dec. 15, 2012 – Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems is pleased to announce the addition of Wire Mesh Basket Tray to its comprehensive line of cable management and delivery systems. Designed to manage, route and protect large quantities of power and/or data cabling, Basket Tray is an economical, easy-to-install system that supports and contains wires and cables.

Hubbell’s Wire Mesh Basket Tray features steel wires welded into 2-inch x 4-inch grid patterns and formed into different tray depths and widths. The tray is offered with a pre-galvanized, powder-painted, electro-zinc, or stainless steel finish. The system includes various sizes of 10-foot length basket tray, a range of support brackets, cable management accessories, and splicing hardware. It can be suspended from the ceiling, secured to the wall, or installed under raised floors. Elbows, tees, and other fittings are easily fabricated in the field.

Hubbell also offers an alternative Wire Mesh Basket Tray design, formed with a flat/shaped crosswire across the tray bottom vs. using a round crosswire. The design distributes cable weight across a 400% larger wire surface area, providing up to 68% less pressure and stress on cables. This is especially valuable for high-speed networking cabling.

“Because basket tray systems are installed in most commercial, institutional and industrial facilities, this is an excellent addition to Hubbell’s current delivery systems offering,” says Gust Wuorinen, Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems’ Senior Product Manager. “This product also enhances Hubbell’s ‘one-source’ offering for delivery systems and wiring devices.”

Wire Mesh Basket Tray is ideal for schools, universities, military bases, data centers, medical facilities and food processing plants. For more information, visit
